How you will contribute:

Serve as Ahern’s Quality Subject Matter Expert! Bring your management acumen to manage and schedule our QC team, budgeting and overseeing the entire Quality Program at Ahern to include audits, manuals, SOP’s, etc. You will be the main point of contact for all quality issues for pipe fabrication and other Ahern divisions. This will include writing and maintaining Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) to insure compliance to ASME Section 9, reviewing and signing off on NDE X-Ray results and staying informed of latest trends, technologies, standards, and processes relating to Pipe Fabrication/ ASME codes. Additionally, you will oversee creation of required documentation for Code Works, P4’s, drawings, sign offs, etc.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASME knowledge, background in structural or piping welding fabrication, NDE. Ability to read drawings and blueprints for pipe fabrication, isometrics, orthographic drawings, PFD’s and P&ID’s critical. Preference will be given to candidates with Senior Level CWI, PP Stamp, U Stamp, R Stamp and Pressure Vessel knowledge.
