Job Description

Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for a Plumbing Sales Project Manager in our Madison office. Building a first class reputation in the industry since 1880 did not happen by chance. It has developed over time through our commitment to conducting business ethically and by providing continuous learning, improvement and development opportunities for its number one asset, employees. You owe it to yourself to find out what Ahern has to offer!

How you will contribute:

Leverage your persuasion and relationship management skills through managing and growing a customer base focused on plumbing construction projects in a variety of sectors.  You will spend your time meeting with customers establishing/maintaining relationships and generating sales; estimating plumbing projects; and setting up and closing out projects.  You will have the ability to influence the financial performance of Madison plumbing work while assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with Ahern’s field plumbing talent.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will make the most out of your five plus years of estimating and project management in mechanical construction, ideally with plumbing related projects.  More experience will be fully utilized.  A post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent of field experience is preferred.  Knowledge of plumbing codes, basic understanding of design and strong understanding of how to put together a disciplined estimate in plumbing preferred.  Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What's in it for you?

Working for the 19th largest mechanical contractor in the United States comes with many perks. The Company has a commitment to excellence that extends beyond our outstanding customer satisfaction ratings and numerous safety awards.  The Company extends this commitment by passing a significant amount of profits back to employees through bonus programs, and generous 401K match.
