Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator within our Pipe Fabrication group working out of Fond du Lac or Appleton. If working out of Appleton, there will be a training period of 6 to 12 months in Fond du Lac.  Building a first class reputation in the industry since 1880 did not happen by chance. How you will contribute: 

This is a great opportunity to showcase your estimating skills while playing a key role in various pipe fabrication projects. You will work with clients and team members to produce timely, accurate, and concise estimates that include project materials, manpower, and technology costs that meet the specifications and customer requirements of each project.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will help make the most of your Associate or Bachelor degree in construction or related program.  One to three years of experience required - internship experience will be considered.  Candidates must be able to read blue prints. Experience working with QuickPen or other estimating software is preferred. Being proficient in Microsoft Office and technically inclined to learn industry specific software will be essential. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.  A commitment to providing exceptional customer service, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, and being able to execute tasks with a great amount of detail will be crucial.  If you are ready to demonstrate this expertise, Ahern wants you!
